My daughter has swine flu. She spiked a very high temperature last night and as she is asthmatic, and therefore at a higher risk for developing complications, she’s being treated with anti-viral drugs straight away. I hate it when she’s poorly, it just breaks my heart. I really hope the baby can somehow mange to avoid it but to be honest I can see a few weeks of nursing sick children ahead of me.

Oh no. Louise has it too 🙁 Hope the little one gets better soon and the baby somehow miraculously manages to avoid it x
Aw poor thing – it’s the little ones I feel sorry for:( I got my tamiflu on Tuesday and still feel rough but please don’t worry honey – take care of all of you
Take care!!! Hope she gets better soon.
That’s terrible! Hope she recovers very soon… Take care, hunni! xxx
Oh no ! 🙁 I hope shes better soon xxxxx
Thank you ladies! We’re surviving so far. She really didn’t enjoy taking the tamiflu. There is a shortage of the liquid version so it is reserved for under 1s. Children are being prescribed capsules which you have to crack open and then pour the contents on to their tongue. She’s spent most of the day sleeping on the sofa and watching DVDs. Baby seems ok so far, I’m watching him like a hawk and taking his temp regularly.
@Louise I hope you feel better soon hun. I guess it’s worse for kiddies but being ill sucks at any age!

Aw hugs to the babes – those tamiflu are a bugger to get down whole let alone in bits – they are really hard and keep getting stuck 🙁 they are giving me stomach pains too
Oh no! I commented on the post above before reading this. I really hope she is going to be ok! My fingers are crossed! x
